Question 1

What is Castinger and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

Castinger is a professional, web-based AI face editor designed for e-commerce, fashion, and advertising photography. It lets you replace the model's face in any product photo with an AI-generated persona or your own uploaded face — without rebooking a photoshoot. Upload your image, select the face to replace, and the AI processes it in minutes. Then fine-tune with built-in Lightroom-style editing tools and export the final image or a layered Photoshop (PSD) file.

Question 2

Can I swap model faces on product photos for different markets?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this is one of Castinger's core use cases. E-commerce teams use Castinger to localize product photography by replacing model faces with AI personas that match different target demographics. Instead of organizing separate photoshoots for each market, you can generate localized variants from a single original shoot in minutes.

Question 3

Can I upload my own face or do I have to use AI personas?

Accepted Answer

Both options are available. You can choose from Castinger's curated library of 100+ hyper-realistic AI-generated personas, or upload your own face image for custom projects. The AI persona library is ideal for commercial use where you need diverse, rights-free faces. Custom face upload gives you full creative control for editorial or brand-specific work.

Question 4

How realistic is the AI face replacement?

Accepted Answer

Castinger produces professional-grade results suitable for commercial use in e-commerce catalogs, ad creatives, and editorial content. The AI matches skin tone, lighting direction, and facial proportions to the original image. After processing, you can fine-tune the result using built-in tools — adjust exposure, contrast, saturation, grain, and sharpness, plus use the masking tool to fix any edge artifacts for a seamless blend.

Question 5

What if the photo has multiple people — can I select which face to swap?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Castinger's AI automatically detects every face in the image. If your photo contains multiple people — a group shot, a campaign image, a lookbook page — you simply click the specific face you want to replace. The rest of the image remains untouched.

Question 6

What editing tools are available after the face swap?

Accepted Answer

After processing, Castinger provides a built-in image editor with professional-grade tools: Lightroom-style sliders for exposure, contrast, saturation, grain, and sharpness; a precision masking tool for fixing edge artifacts; and a merge function to finalize the result. If you need even more control, you can export the result as a layered Photoshop (PSD) file and continue editing in Photoshop or any PSD-compatible software.

Question 7

Can I export the result as a Photoshop file?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Castinger supports export as a layered Photoshop (PSD) file, so you can continue editing in the software you're already familiar with. This is especially valuable for professional photographers and retouchers who want to finish fine-tuning in their existing workflow. You can also download the final merged image in high resolution as a JPG file.

Question 8

Do I need to install any software or plugins?

Accepted Answer

No. Castinger is 100% web-based. Everything — from face detection to AI processing to post-production editing — runs in your browser. There's nothing to download, no Photoshop plugin required, and no GPU needed on your machine. Just open castinger.ai, upload your image, and start editing.

Question 9

How much does Castinger cost?

Accepted Answer

Signing up is free. Once you create your account, plans start at $19.00/month with 400 credits. Each face replacement costs 1-10 credits depending on quality settings. For agencies and high-volume users, we offer plans with more credits and priority processing. Visit our pricing page for full details.

Question 10

Is Castinger suitable for e-commerce product photography?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely — it's built for it. E-commerce brands and studios use Castinger to replace model faces across entire product catalogs, localize imagery for international markets, and generate visual variants without additional photoshoots. The high-resolution output, batch capability, and Photoshop export make it production-ready.

Question 11

Can I use Castinger for fashion photography and lookbooks?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Fashion brands and agencies use Castinger to present the same outfit with different model faces — perfect for diverse lookbooks, multi-market campaigns, or A/B testing which model demographic performs best. The AI maintains the original pose, lighting, and styling while only replacing the face.

Question 12

Is this a deepfake tool?

Accepted Answer

No. Castinger is a professional AI face editor designed for legitimate commercial photography workflows — e-commerce, fashion, and advertising. While the technology performs face replacement, the platform is built for professional use with proper editorial and commercial intent. Castinger's AI persona library provides rights-free, AI-generated faces that eliminate any identity or likeness concerns.

Question 13

Is my uploaded content secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All uploads are processed securely and are not shared, sold, or used for AI training. You retain full ownership of your original images and generated results. You can delete any content from your dashboard at any time. Castinger is fully GDPR compliant.

Question 14

What file formats and resolutions are supported?

Accepted Answer

Castinger supports JPG, PNG, and WEBP uploads with no resolution limits — including high-resolution images. Output can be downloaded as high-resolution JPG images or exported as layered Photoshop (PSD) files. The results are print-ready and suitable for both web and catalog production.

Question 15

Can I A/B test ad creatives with different faces?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this is a key use case for performance marketing teams. Upload your ad creative, generate multiple variants with different faces, and test which demographic resonates best with your target audience. Instead of commissioning separate shoots, you can produce dozens of creative variants from a single image in minutes.
